Looking all fab at home for the first time: Rowan was born with a near full head of hair. She loves to put her hands up and invent her own sign language. In fact, she was a compound delivery with her left hand near her head.

Big sis Snowcat makes sure Rowan gets her rest.

"Yep, just checking," Snowcat says.

Mama is sooo happy to discover that Rowan is easily tricked with a pinky: Lisa gave an un-medicated natural birth. It's said that a comparable experience would be to run a marathon. I've done that. It's a lie. This looked much, much more grueling and intense. This woman's work - it ain't no joke.

Leo birth sign keeps watch at the hospital.

Early morning, post-delivery euphoria at birthing room #7 at Kaiser in Walnut Creek. This place was like being at a resort. The staff treated us like VIPs.
